Well, it's been another busy month, but with the reappearance of the sun I've been filled with energy again... woohoo!
So to make up for lost time I've been doing odds and ends of sewing for friends, mending and bits and bobs that I don't really consider proper-crafty
I also attempted my first ever mug rug...
Not brilliant, as I can see where bits don't line up, but it is cheerful and bright and I hope my Bestest Friend likes it... it is made from scraps leftover from her jewellery roll

| I'm much happier with the back! |
I also rustled up another pencil case... since I forgot to note down how I made the first two, this one came out differently!
Now, on to my WIPs...
A mutual friend of BF and I is getting married this year and that means a hen do and a wedding... yay... dressing up and hats!
For the hen do we will be wearing masquerade masks. Have you seen the price of them lately? Tsk... I bought two fairly plain ones and got stuck in with my glue gun, and an assortment of pretty bits... so far so good...

| Very early stages... more embellishments are happening almost daily |
For the wedding I am thinking of wearing a fascinator instead of a hat, so out came the glue gun again along with shimmery fabric, beads, stamens and some proper hat netting...

Well you've been busy!

I'd have done more but boring old work gets in the way... when I win the lottery I'm going to craft all the time!
DeleteOoo can't wait to see the results of the fascinator and mask! xxx
ReplyDeleteFinished one mask... I'll do a post when they are both are done
DeleteOMG! The masquerade mask! The fascinator! *drool*. You're the cleverest crafty stuff maker I know xx
ReplyDeleteAh thqnk you, I'm so glad you like :-)
DeleteYou are such a resourceful lady! Those things are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThe things connected to the coming wedding are particularly lovely.
I will let you know when the next Colston Hall Concert is going to be. It will be in July but isn't it it would be too far for you to come?

Nuts in May
Thank you Maggie and Colston Hall is easy for me - I hop on a bus almost outside my door in Clevedon and it takes me to outside The Hippodrome in about half an hour... I love living here!
DeleteWow! You have been so busy! I see you are multi-talented too, I love doing different crafts too x
