My best friend and I went to a hen this weekend, for which we got to wear masquerade masks... yippee... I love dressing up!
Having seen the price of masks we decided I would get some plain masks and embellish them
As you can see I had a lot of fun as I got to play with my glue gun again... and feathers and shiny beads... it was like being a kid all over again!

It was actually really easy to do as well, I had a good selection of metal flower beads and a stash of nail gems that I'd got cheap from eBay, the feathers came from Fabric Land in Bristol, all I did was glue them on wherever I fancied and voila... two masks all gussied up
We had a great time, lots of new friends made, drink consumed and a couple of late nights... I am hoping I'll recover soon! I have to face the awful truth... I am not a teenager* any more... sigh
Actually, I had so much fun making these, I want to make some more... any of you want a mask? Go on, you know you do really!
* I am 49 tomorrow, so maybe attempting to behave like a teenager for an entire weekend was pushing it a bit

DeleteSuper masks, so sparkly! My 3 year old niece announced yesterday that she wants to be a platypus and would like me to make a mask for her...quite a challenge and definitely not as glamorous as your versions! Liz x

ReplyDeleteTrouble with masks is..... if you're blind as a bat........ then its difficult to wear glasses.
